Class Week 3

So the way I've been thinking about lines and shapes is in web design. like i'll need to use this shape here to fit were i want the hot spot or line here would help divide the sections. oh I guess i thought of how this and that object would look here and there.

there's really no other thing was thinking other than web page design since thats what I've been this whole week.

Games of PAX09

So I went to PAX09 last weekend. And what do you think I did there?

That's right I played games and went to panels about games. Man was it a blast, got to play those games that you guys wish you could play right now. So your asking your self "what games where at PAX?" well I'll tell you. Lots, there were lots of games there to play that I didn't get to them all. like some big hitters like Halo 3: ODST, Mass Effect 2, The Beatles: RockBand, MAG, Tim Schafer's Brutal Legend, Darksiders, Uncharted 2, Assassins Creed II, Star Wars: Old Republic, WET, to Blizzards two new games Starcraft II and Diablo III. There were also some not so big games there too, like the PAX10 games which is where people enter in there indie games in and Tycho and Gabe (I'm sure with others) pick out the 10 best indie games. the one that caught my interest was Closure.

So the idea around Closure is that the world only exists in the light, and when in the dark there's nothing, as in empty space. the only source of light is an orb of light which you can carry with you and move it. for example you come up to a wall (in the light), you can back up just enough to were the wall is not visable, drop the orb then walk through the wall. And thats just one of the puzzles you have to do in the game.

Visual Effects past

I was listening to a podcast where they mentioned a video on YouTube that dealt with the how far visual effects have come. starting with The Enchanted Drawing and including King Kong (1933), mary poppins, Tron, Terminator 2, to Benjamen Button.

Its really interesting how far we've come when it comes to Visual Effects and how long its been in the movies.

3D camera (week 1)

So i was listening to a podcast, and they mentioned a 3D camera made by fujifilm.

now i know what your thinking, a camera that can take a 3rd dimension picture, what, no way. but no it's true, now how it works is that it has 2 lenses that are placed on the top of both corners and shoots from there.

i could talk about this all day but you would still be like "BS", so I'll just give you there website so you can check it out your self.

My first Blog

So this is my new blog, now I never thought i you make one of these. I guess you could say that I have been blogging since i'm on Twitter and I guess you could call Twitter a small blog site.

now the reason I'm blogging in the first place is because Of class. the teacher asked the class to make a blog, so here i am.

I will talk about my class. but once i'm done and during class I'll also talk about the Web comic that i wish to start soon. so this is the start of me blogging.
