Simon's Cat in 'Santa Claws'

Another Simon's Cat video is out, and its Gold. Now if you don't know what this series is about then let me tell you. Simon's Cat is about a cat which I'm guessing belongs to Simon (makes sense right). well in the series the cat always mess's with Simon's stuff like in this video with the tree (though not all are the cat making a mess of Simon's belongings). but the humor is how accurate he nails the way cats act. I believe the artist started off with books and moved to animation. you can check out his work on youtube or his site.

New Xbox.com

Microsoft just changed Xbox.com to fit the updates for the Xbox 360 thats going to happen in November. in this change the look of the website looks completely new, the enter face is more smooth, easier to see who's online and what their doing, and the best part is that you can edit your avatar from the site now too oh and try avatar items on in the marketplace also. I believe the Xbox is now reaching further out of the console. next you'll be able to earn achievements from a Phone, oh wait you can do that.

1UP Game Night Fallout New Vegas

1UP just Got done with their ustream broadcast of them playing Fallout New Vegas which just came out today. they talk about the game and answer some of the question's that the crowd were asking on twitter, Ustream, and 1up board. I hope they do this more games, like maybe Fable III, though I'm most likely going to be playing it.

Microsoft announced a map pack for Halo Reach...Wait didn't it just come out...called Noble Map Pack that will Reach Xbox live Nov. 30th. well If you griped on how 17 maps where not enough for you then how about 20? Bungie.net has 3-4 pics of each maps and some back story for each one. after viewing the pics I have a feeling that These are going to be awesome. Oh and if 3 maps not enough for you Noble Map Pack also comes with 250 GS.

I wounder if the next map pack is going to have any Firefight maps for it? one can wish.

Fallout New Vegas

Hi all, its been some time, well I'm back (not sure for how long with Halo Reach and Fable soon to come). And I bring some good news. X-plays Epictober brings us some awesome info on Fallout New Vegas.

They talked about many things about the game like why they picked New Vegas and what they where using as a source to make New Vegas. but one of the best things they had was a look at one dark mission you can do in the game, and by dark I mean Cannibalism...You'll just have to watch

this is the 3rd installment for Lionhead's Video Diary. this time its about Voice Acting (cast). Now I've loved Fables voice casting since the first one and they just upped the ante. their's some big names like John Cleese, Stephen Fry, Jonathan Rose, Simon Pegg and more! if any names ring a bell I hope its John Cleese (Monty Python) and Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead and Star Trek).

LOTRO now FTP

Turbine announced that they were going to move to a free to play method of gaming with Lord of the Rings Online(LOTRO) following its younger brother DDO(Dungeons and Dragons Online) A few months back. and Now at PAX Prime they released a trailer for FTP and on their site they have a free section that gives details on FTP and a small ad to the right saying its yours - free September 10th. Oh wait thats tomorrow, Awesome sauce I know what I'm doing tomorrow.

From what they have on their Free to play section on their site, you'll have three account types. of course theirs the free account, with lots of limits and restrictions were you can pay to have those removed. then theirs the Premium Account type, this one still has some restrictions but less and even has some things not restricted where the free one does. And last theirs the VIP account which has no restrictions other than getting more player slots and wardrobe slots. To get the Premium account all you have to do is purchase Turbine points and your upgraded. And VIP is a Monthly fee account, I'm not seeing a price on the webpage but I'm going to guess its $30 a month.

**Update**

I just checked my Email and found a newsletter from Turbine about LOTRO going FTP. And in the letter it says I'm a premium player because I had a previous account. so so if you've played LOTRO then you're most likely a Premium player. and If you bought the life time membership when the game first came out then you are an VIP (from what I've read).

Duke Nukem Forever Is Real And Playable At PAX

If I was at PAX10 this year I would most likely be telling you the news that I'm playing Duke Nukem Forever but no I am not. instead I'm finding out by Will Wheaton's Tweets and G4's article.The one year I don't go I miss every thing, sigh.

Anyway G4 claim they'll keep us posted on the Duke of the Nuke. And thats what they have done link here

Valve Promises A Trio Of Surprises This Year

So Valve Is one of the top Video Game Developers who made Half-life, Left 4 Dead, and Portal. And when they say that they Have 3 big surprises in the next 12 months (Year) you know everyone on their seats waiting to know what they are. Maybe Half-Life 2: episode 3, Left 4 Dead Tri, or Multiplayer for Portal 2. but what ever it is its going to be killer kewl. I'll keep you posted, that is if one doesn't happen in the 2 month's after Halo Reach comes out.

Dragon Age II cinematic trailer

It almost passed me while I had my head was surrounded by everything Halo. And now after watching the Trailer I'm glad I step away from the greatness of Halo. Halo Reach Multiplayer and Forge Wolrd Hands-on

G4 has another Look into Halo Reach (man I wish I worked at a Gaming Journalist company...hey G4 hirer me pls) and they talk about all the different versions of the game you'll be able to play like Campaign (duh), Multiplayer and all its different Variants and Maps, Firefight and all the new modding you can do to make each play different and Awesome, and last Forge World which is the most addictive part of Halo (for me)

Firefight

Since its first Appearance in Halo: ODST, Firefight has gotten a Huge Update with more maps and an "incredibly robust customization option." From what G4 says you'll be able to tweak and turn some many things that it'll take you some time to get the full Firefight experience.

after all they've had to say they throw in a video of them playing Firefight 2.0. At first it look as if they where going to kick much Covenant Ass. but then after about 5 minutes into the game they really start to lose it. Even though they kinda sucked (no disrespect G4), its still nice to see some footage of the match and see the awesomeness that is Halo Firefight 2.0

Multiplayer

Firefight is Awesome but that's not all Halo Reach and Bungie have to offer. Multiplayer is now a must have in any FPS these days and Bungie is no fool. and their not just going to throw in a few redone maps from the Campaign and call it good, Hell no. Bungie Let G4 share eleven maps which 8 are basic: Boardwalk, Boneyard, Countdown, Powerhouse, Reflection, Spire, Sword Base, and Zealot. and the 3 that where made in Forge World: Cage, Hemorrage, and Pinnacle.

And to go with all those maps are a bunch of Game Variants like Assault, CTF (capture the Flag), Juggernaut (Bitch...sorry I could not resist), King of the Hill, Oddball, and Many more of which will be awesome. and of course just like in Halo 3 you'll be able to Edit each and every game mode.

Forge World

If you've used Forge in Halo 3 then you know their some limited things you could do. well that's the good news about Forge World. Bungie has gotten rid of almost every limitation in forge that you would find in Halo 3.

As you can tell from the Picture above Forge World has allot more objects to play with than you could in Halo 3. Not only did they make more objects but they also add more things you can do with the objects. for instance the physics of the objects is one, you can change the physics From Normal, fixed, and phased. Normal is your typical block that obeys Physics like knocking over or making it fall. Fixed keeps it in place and defies gravity. Phased is where you get to have fun, it lets you merge objects (and surroundings) together. i would try to explain it but I'm having trouble with words to do so, so why not just watch the video that G4 got of them playing with Forge World.

Halo Reach Pirates Getting Permanent Xbox Live Bans

"Software pirates may want to reconsider downloading that leaked copy of Halo Reach in advance of the game's September 14 release date. Microsoft is issuing permanent Xbox Live bans for anyone it catches playing unauthorized versions of Reach.

Xbox Live's director of policy and enforcement Stephen Toulouse commented on his Twitter (via Joystiq), "As with all unauthorized play on Xbox LIVE, anyone playing any unauthorized title runs the risk of account permaban and console," adding, "Legit store bought copy runs no risk of ban. Key word: UNAUTHORIZED. We have ways of knowing."

Don't want your console permanently exiled from Xbox Live? Then don't pirate games, dummy. And have a little patience; September ain't that far away."

Fable III for Xbox 360 - Preview - G4tv.com

Fable III is going to be one of this years top sellers when it comes out in October (if not pushed back). and Lionhead, The Brilliant people they are, Decided to grab a bunch of Journalists and sit them down in front of the console and let them play Fable III for four hours. Well Jem Alexander was one of those luck Journalists that got to play the game for four hours and he so happened to work for G4tv.com and wrote a preview of the game. And man from what he says this game sounds like a blockbuster, and if you've got a special someone then you're in more luck.
